Marijke is a strong, beautiful single mother, who works two jobs to support her 9 year old daughter Jaidah. As a part of our HRDC Early Childhood programs, Marijke is always giving of herself to support those around her.
Last week, Marijke's daughter found her mother unconscious and ran to get help. Marijke's heart had stopped and her daughter saved her life by quickly getting help. Marijke is still in the hospital, and will likely have heart surgery.
Marijke's family lives in Brussels, and are currently trying to fly here to be with her. Help us raise the funds that Marijke needs in order to cover her medical costs and other pressing needs for the family. Our goal is to raise at least $5,000.
