WCHS Class of '86 Hurricane Fund

Donation protected
The Class of 1986 from West Carteret High School in Morehead City, NC, Carteret County, is raising funds to help classmates who have been displaced and are struggling with recovery in Eastern North Carolina due to Hurricane Florence.

The hurricane left a wide swath of destruction. Many homes and businesses were badly damaged, and resources have been strained. Many rental homes and apartment complexes have been forced to evict residents due to mold and damage, displacing thousands of people.

I created this fund on behalf of WCHS Class of 1986. We have always been a close-knit class that actively keeps up with each other thru Facebook and gets together for class reunions as often as we can.

We plan to use these funds to help classmates who are getting evicted or experiencing a housing crisis and to purchase supplies and/or gift cards to local stores and business to help replace damaged items and purchase cleaning and building supplies.

We will rebuild and recover. We are #carteretstrong.

The administration of this fund is being overseen by Michelle Nolin, Class of '86 member and organizer on behalf of the group.
