Hi folks!
I’m sure everyone is SUPER EXCITED that despite the massive flooding and insanely terrible conditions around the Watkins Glen/Schuyler County area, that Curveball is moving ahead as planned!!!
That said, the local communities in the area have been hit hard by these floods. People have lost their businesses, pets, homes, etc. and they are hurting and tired. These people in the communties hosting us have been nothing short of amazing through every festival, including the one coming up in a couple days. The local first responder volunteers have gotten no sleep, working tirelesslessly to evacuate residents, cleanup roads, fix downed lines, etc. And now they have us showing up ready to party.
Given the fact that, due to their patience and hard work, we are still going to be able to go up there and celebrate, it is only right to try and contribute something toward the effort. Any little bit helps, these folks have been nothing but kind, helpful, and gracious to us over the years we have been there.
All proceeds from this fundraiser will be donated to the Local Volunteer Ambulance Association and the Watkins Glen Fire Dept.
