My name Frank Reigosa , my profesion ; coumnications , i'm a tv camera operator/videographer , underwater videographer , i'm 55 years old , US citizen and living in South Florida since 1989 , I have been involve with envioromental activities since I was very young . At this moment when I have some free time i go out from the Oleta River state park in my kayak and do some voluntary work helping cleaning the sorroundings , the islands that belong to the park , but I would love to do more , bigger projects , cleaning all waterways of south Florida , also I have the idea to do school education , beach and reef clean ups and many other ideas related to keeping this waterways clean ....
This project will benefit everything , the envioronment , sea life , turism , people who own boats and houses conected to any canal and intracostal waterways etc ,this project will also benefit state and federal departments of water preservation and wildlife organizations , of course my own main reason is to do it for us , nature , the globe , our house ......
At this point to start this project I need a lot of help if I really want to do this , I need a pontoon boat , I could buy a used one .It is also good to say that I had done voluntary work with the Oleta River State Park for at least twenty six or twenty seven years plus work voluntary with M.A.R.S ( marine animal rescue society) and with Florida Wildlife conservation comision . The Need of the boat is obvious , with a kayak would be very difficult to carry and transport trash . I also have a program setup for recycling most of the trash.
I also need in the future, a small warehouse to process recycled trash and storage tools and cleaning materials.The warehouse will also be used as a workshop to make useful things for example, wood (furniture, shelfs,home decor etc...) My plan is also to open a webpage where I can post videos produced by myself with the purpose to educate younger generations about the environment we live in, which is the Water Planet...Another plan would be create an online store to sell our products and other local artists work that will go to the same project.
This project will mean everything to me,why, because for many many years since I started kayaking in these waterways I have seen and witnessed many environmental tragedies.I could put in allot of hours and get help from friends and volunteers to help me make this from a small to a HUGE project.
I will attach below a series of pictures to show you who I am and some of the little things I have done.
