Waterford, CA Skate Spot

Ryan Hay, 9 years old, wrote to the City Council in May 2012 asking them to consider building a skate park. The city of Waterford is without a dedicated place for their youth to skate.
With Ryan's help the interest in a skate park has been renewed, and a a committed group of citizens, with support of the City of Waterford City Council, and the Parks & Recreation Commission, are seeking your help to make a skate park in Waterford a reality. The location would be at Beard Park in Waterford.
Since Ryan's letter was received, the City Council has committed $25,000 to the effort, and submitted a grant for $25,000 to the Tony Hawk Foundation, and one for $125,000 to the For Youth Infrastructure Foundation. Other funding sources are being researched, but your support is essential to help make this happen.
