2016 Warwick Pal Patriots Jr. Varsity Undefeated State Champions just won the Pop Warner New England title. This means they have 6 days to get to Florida to represent the New England Region at Nationals!
It has been a long road for these young athletes. Every week putting in incredible work, every week, to achieve the honor to represent the Region.
11-0, 9 shutouts.... A difficult emotional road for these young men.
Just Days before their State Championship game they learned the news of Warwick Pals biggest supporter, and their team mom, Misty Lourenco had fallen gravely ill. Misty Lourenco had been fighting cancer for years and never stopped standing with them and pushing them to accomplish the dream of making it to Nationals. They won the State Championship in spite of the emotional toll this had brought them! They were able to bring the trophy home for her.
Misty Lourenco passed away on November 8, 2016 just days later. "Her boys" made the decision that they were going to push forward and get to Nationals! She taught them to never give up!
Just hours ago they secured their spot with an impressive 27-0 Win in the Regional Championship game!
