Warren Rescue Squad Disaster Shelter Supply Center

My name is Atharva Kalyanpur. I am 15 and a Life Scout with Troop 129. I have been in scouting since I was 5 and am working to become an Eagle Scout, the final rank in scouting.  One of the requirements is to plan and execute a community service project. I have decided to do my project at the Warren Township Rescue Squad.  The Squad has been designated a temporary refuge for people in times of need such as natural disasters and other emergencies. As a result, Somerset County has provided various supplies such as cots and bedding material to the Rescue Squad which need to be stored. Currently they do not have a location where they can be stored safely and therefore I will be creating a storage system which will house their new and existing supplies in a safe and easily accessible way.  The project will involve demolishing current storage, spackling and painting the walls, and building new shelving that fit the Rescue Squad’s needs. To complete my project I will need to raise $800 and every donation no matter how small will help me reach my goal.  Thank you in advance for your support!
