Warm up the Ridge

The residents of Pine Ridge Reservation, where most of the descendants of our Little Bighorn warriors reside, live in third-world living conditions and winters are brutal. Fuel oil is hard to come by and expensive. Persons have lost their legs and there are fatalities due to the inability to get heat. We have created this Go Fund Me to gather money to purchase electric space heaters to distribute to those who are having difficulty  obtainin propane and fuel oil. 

• The Wassenberg Art Center (home of Faces of Little Bighorn Collection) will be collecting clean, new or gently used coats, blankets (in good condition, please!) and money for heaters  through December 20, 2019 to send to Pine Ridge Reservation. The more of these items the better.  In past years we have received a growing level of support and would like to thank you and see if we can break those records this year. If you don't have time to donate items, simply donate to this Go Fund Me. It's easy to warm people. You may also drop coats and blankets at the Wassenberg Art Center, Tuesday–Sunday: 1–5 p.m. and on Thursdays: 1–9 p.m. and we will see they warm someone up.

• We are fortunate to have a great group of volunteers on Pine Ridge to aid in distribution with can have its logistic challenges. Donations go right to where they are needed, immediately. Faces of Little Bighorn art collection owner and Wassenberg Board Member, Brent Stevens, personally helps distribute the items once they arrive.
