My name is Pedro Tec, and I am the founder of Los Mayas Eternos A.C., a community-based humanitarian organization in Yucatán, Mexico. I am raising funds to buy 150 warm blankets for Maya children living in extreme poverty in the Emiliano Zapata Sur neighborhood of Mérida, directly behind the airport.
These children live in homes made of cardboard, plastic sheets, and scrap wood, and many sleep in old hammocks or broken beds. The cold season has already started, and many of them suffer from respiratory illnesses, dry skin, malnutrition, and stomach problems because their homes offer no protection from the cold.
This cause is deeply personal to me because I grew up in a small Maya community myself, and I have seen these realities since childhood. Today, through Los Mayas Eternos A.C., we work directly with the poorest families, delivering food, shoes, medicine, and now warm blankets so that no child has to sleep in the cold.
All funds from this campaign will be used exclusively to purchase 150 blankets (each costing 170 pesos / approx. 10 USD). Our team of volunteers will deliver them house by house on December 24th, ensuring every child receives help directly in their hands.
Your support brings warmth, protection, and hope to children who need it the most.
Thank you for helping us make this possible.
