We dismantled a 100+ year old Spanish Wall building in January 2021. Now the disassembled parts of the building have been moved to our site for the Living Museum in Southfield, St. Elizabeth (see the sketch below, and learn more about the Museum at www.thewarecollective.com).
Phase 2 of fundraising is to reinstate the roof and re-establish the frame on so we can begin the steady work of restoration and preservation. Your gift supports a passionate Collective of artists, teachers, architects, doctors and development practitioners who work to see Jamaica's built heritage celebrated and preserved. Our work focuses on education on traditional arts and building methods, advocacy for the preservation of Spanish Wall buildings and promoting sustainable use of natural resources in design and architecture.
