Walking the 3 peaks in Yorkshire

Hello everyone, my name is Joby Cornwell and I am going to be climbing the 3 peaks in Yorkshire on Saturday 11th and Sunday 12th September, delayed from the original April dates, due to the Lockdown. I’m climbing with some of my good friends to raise awareness and money for the MND Association. My mother has had this horrific disease for the best part of 5 years now and I cannot express enough how brutal this illness can get, not just physically, but mentally as well.  It effectively stops the motor neurones travelling up your spine and around your body which allow you to do anything - eat, talk, move - basically any normal human activity slowly becomes impossible as the central nervous system wears down to the point where it can’t operate. The effect this has had on my mum has been heartbreaking to watch and so testing for everyone involved, I want to do anything I can to contribute towards finding a cure for this devastating illness as quickly as is humanly possible. No one person deserves to go through this horrific illness and the effect it has on the families affected by it, are truly staggering as well.  Any donation that you can make will be appreciated so much, let’s all get behind this one and raise as much as we possibly can!!!!
