Walking 100km for Nourish Axminster

Axminster Property Ltd will be taking on the Jurassic Coast Ultra Challenge on the 18th and 19th of May 2024.

Starting at Corfe Castle we will be walking 100km, winding our way back to Bridport over two days, taking in wonderful views and very tough terrain.

We will be raising money in aid of NOURISH AXMINSTER and every donation will help.

Let us tell you about the wonderful work that Nourish do:

Nourish is a small charity that provides home cooked, nutritionally balanced meals, for people in our community who are struggling to feed themselves and their families. Nourish also provides food support for The Hub at Pippins for people who are fighting addiction in Axminster. Working with Devon and Cornwall Police, Nourish provides "Picnics in the Park", an initiative that allows them to feed children during the school holidays. They work closely with other food providers to make sure everyone they assist has access to the support available from other organisations. Nourish is run by two volunteers who operate a flexible working environment in order to meet the changing needs of the community. Both Karen and Mary have been awarded the Robin Cross Citizen of the Year award from Axminster Town Council for the work they undertake in the community for Nourish.

A quote from Karen, the founder of Nourish: "We are only too aware of how the rungs of our personal ladders can snap and we find ourselves in need of support in order to climb back up the ladder. It can happen to anyone and Nourish is there to offer that helping hand to those who are struggling."
