Castlepoint-Numa - Matching Gift Campaign

Thanks to the incredible support of Castlepoint-Numa, we've initiated a matching gift campaign. For every dollar you contribute, they will match it, up to $4,000. Your donation will go twice as far in making a meaningful difference in the lives of Weston families.

The Weston Area Emergency Support (WAES) is witnessing a growing need that is more urgent than ever. Over the past three months, they've averaged an astonishing 2,615 visits, which is a 20% increase from 2022 and a fourfold surge compared to pre-COVID times. The demand for food in our community has reached unprecedented levels. Shockingly, over 32% of those seeking assistance are children under the age of 18, and 12% are senior citizens over the age of 65. The numbers tell a stark tale of a community in need, and we're reaching out to you for support.

35 Years of Giving Back

For over three decades, Weston Park Baptist Church has organized the annual Christmas community food drive, a true tradition of giving. This event, in partnership with WAES, aims to provide essential support to Weston families during the holiday season. 4,000 bags are thoughtfully distributed throughout the Weston community a week before the event. Subsequently, our dedicated volunteers sort, box, and prepare these donations for distribution at the WAES, located at 1 King St. (in Central United Church’s building)
