Donations for Flinders Island Fire Brigades

We have successfully purchased seven new Waeco refrigeration units which are being dispersed to the 7 fire bridges by Alan Tuxworth.

The remaining funds raised are going towards the cost of drinks and food for our volunteers and any remaining funds will be paid directly to our local fire brigade to be used for purchases of safety gear and any costs like repairs to trucks etc.

What a community we live in! It took only 24 hours and many generous donations and we can now purchase seven Waeco refrigeration units for our local fire brigades. Unbelievable and thank you, what a way to thank our wonderful firies for their incredible effort over the past week.

We have moved the fundraising goal post for another week to encourage and enable any further donations to our brigades. Wehave been assured that donations will be put to good use purchasing items and covering costs in maintaining their equipment.

Wondering how you can help our local community during these fires and for future fires.

We would LOVE to equip our local fire trucks with Waeco Refrigeration units (see photo) to ensure our fire fighters have access to food and refreshments at all hours of the day. There are many locals doing all nighters and during the day the fire fighters can be running all day missing lunch and dinner stops so we need to ensure they can get a feed when time allows.

Anaconda have come on board and are happyto offer this sale price to our community beyond their sale today, which is extremely generous.

Any additional funds raised could go towards more refrigeration for fire brigade utes or towards working parts on the trucks. I’m sure any donations beyond the purchase of these refrigeration units will be greatly accepted by our brigades.
