Community Give Back

Hi everyone! Instead of raising money for a charity, I’d like to raise money to help in our community. Some of the money will go to groceries to make meals for people in our neighborhood- the local food pantry is no longer serving hot meals but they are accepting donations of homemade meals to give out. We will use the money to prepare meals in our home, put in individual containers, and give to local pantries. The rest will go to making “Quarantine kits” for kids and teens who are staying inside with their families but do not have art supplies/books/other amusements. Many therapists and guidance counselors I know are saying their younger ones don’t know what to do with themselves and their families can’t spend the money to keep them amused. Working with local vendors to purchase coloring books/sketch pads/markers/reading books/puzzles/games, we will send packages anonymously and share with the families that there is “community money” to buy things for their children.  Thank you for helping!
