Domestic Violence/ Medical Needs
Charlotte is a newly single mother to 3 of the most beautiful girls, ages 10, 3 and 7 months. She is one of the hardest workers you will find, as well as a tried and true friend, as many can attest. At the beginning of April she was badily injuried in a domestic violence incident. This required an extensive hospital stay. Since then she has been out of work. She has to go to wound care 3 times a week. She may also have to have additional surgeries to repair the wound.
Her close friends and family have come together to offer assistance and aid when they can. However, we are now approaching 3 months with months of additional care, healing, and need still ahead of us. Her family and friends have exhausted most of their resources trying to help. At this time we are attempting to extend the circle in order for Charlotte and the girls to obtain the help they so desperately need.
Obviously there are few of us that would be prepared to be unable to work for a few weeks, let alone months. In addition, taking into account going from 2 incomes to 1 which is hard enough on its own. (the father of the girls has checked into an inpatient rehab and is currently offering NO assistance at this time) Then you add on top of that medical needs and expenses. Needless to say this is a very difficult time for her and the girls right now.
Any assistance that you may be able to offer, no matter how small, combined together will go an incredible distance. She has been given some assistance with food and diapers. However, the more pressing issues are the monthly bills. As we all know, power, water, and mortgage does not stop coming around every month. And with little to no income coming in, things can stack up pretty quickly.
Please consider donating if you have the ability. If you do not have the ability to donate, prayers are very much appreciated and welcomed. It is hard to imagine being faced with whether or not to get your medical supplies, food, or electricity for your girls.
