Hi, my name is Donna and I am fundraising to help The Reed Family. If you don’t know them already, this is Tamela and her family. Tamela has been an advocate for those affected by cancer through an organization that operates out of San Diego, California called Rock Cancer C.A.R.E. Tamela knows first hand how difficult it can be to connect with resources to assist one who is battling cancer. She has been able to raise funds, recruit volunteers and help offer support to people battling this devastating illness. Rock Cancer C.A.R.E. not only offers financial assistance to cancer patients but those things such as transportation to appointments and healthy meals that are things often overlooked as resources that are much needed for someone battling serious illness. Tamela is battling cancer herself and has fallen on hard times. Her husband, Major, has been taking care of Tamela as well as being the provider for his family. He is doing his best to be a caregiver and breadwinner, however, during this time he has missed time off from work.
