I need to reach out and ask for help.

My little family hasn’t been doing too well for a while. A doctor signed me off as sick and I needed to be at home with my kids for two months. As Försäkringskassan - Swedish Social Security - decided that I’d applied for sick pay on the WRONG DAY they decided not to give it to me at all. We lived off my savings, time at home together was the most important thing. When we finally got professional help and I could go back to work I took on extra temp work. I worked more than full-time to get back on my feet economically. This has resulted in Försäkringskassan taking back my housing benefit for the whole of last year, and I now owe them 39 000 SEK =4000 €

This is too much for me to deal with as the sole provider for a family of three. Right now I’m working almost full time and we’re gently building up our family again. Healing takes time.

With a little bit of help from everyone, small drops become an ocean and I hope to be able to pay the amount to Försäkringskassan by the 5th November before they pass the debt over to Kronofogden (the Swedish Debt Enforcement Agency).
