Harvey Recovery
Navy veteran and HCSO officer Dominique Mitchell and his family we're hit hard by tropical storm Harvey. They lost everything in their apartment and both their vehicles in a rapid rise flooding event in Spring late Sunday night.
His wife, Vanesssa Mitchell, works for local doctors at Physicians Group of the Woodlands. Their son, Christian (age 4) was attending a nearby childcare center, which also flooded Sunday.
This is a kind and amazing family, and they are in need of our help. My name is Liz Randall, and I'm the Medical Office Manager at Physicians' Group of the Woodlands. It is our goal to assist this family in any way possible. They were only able to take what could fit in a few small bags. Both cars are a total loss and the family is left without transportation.
They are working with FEMA in an attempt to find a rental nearby, but have needs for every household item, clothing, shoes, and relocation assistance if you are qualified to help them.
They will also be seeking a new center to care for their son, if you are in the industry or know of a safe, caring place for him to attend, that information is also welcomed.
Please consider giving to this wonderful family that I have the privilege of knowing.
All money will go directly to Vanessa.
