On November 6, 2021, Captain Steve DesRuisseaux of the Manchester NH Fire Department received 3rd degree burns over 40% of his body while trying to rescue residents trapped in a multifamily building.

He was flown to Massachusetts General Hospital and will undergo surgery Tuesday afternoon to address the deeper burns on the back of his body.

 

Steve and Colleen have been married for 24 years and have two children, Megan age 19 and Jack age 17. Steve is a humble man, and dedicated to his community.

 

The money collected will be used to help the family with expenses not covered by insurance helping Steve achieve the best recovery possible.
