My sweet French Bulldog, Harley, is facing every Frenchie owner’s worst nightmare — IVDD (Intervertebral Disc Disease).

On Wednesday afternoon, Harley suddenly lost the ability to move normally, and I rushed her to the emergency vet. After hours of waiting, testing, and painful uncertainty, the doctors delivered news no pet parent ever wants to hear. I was told I had only two options:

1. Back surgery costing between $8,000–$10,000

2. Humane euthanasia

But for me, choice number two is not an option. Harley is more than a dog… she’s family, my best friend, my companion through thick and thin. She still has so much life, love, and joy left to give.

The specialists at the University of Florida are ready to perform the surgery that could give Harley her chance at recovery and mobility. But the cost is overwhelming, and it’s not something I can take on alone. That’s why I’m turning to the kindness of others and asking for help.
