As I am nearing the end of my junior year, I have begun to make plans for educational programs this summer. I applied to Brown, Cornell and Washington University-St. Louis pre-college Summer Programs, and fortunately, I was accepted! The program that really stood out to me was the Summer College at Brown University in Rhode Island. It is a one week course that exposes students to the world of medicine.
The class provides a foundation, by teaching the basics, as well as real world experience through hands on practice. My long term goal is to become a Dermatologist. Not only does the class itself interest me, but it will also provide me with a chance to experience life on a college campus.
I would love to attend this program, but am asking for your help! The total cost is estimated to be around $3000. Considering I have two other sisters, also aspiring to attend summer programs, and college visits to go on, this is expensive! I have already begun working to save money to attend this course. I am tutoring, doing data entry and gardening to earn money. I am asking if you would help me by making a donation to the GoFundMe Account or sending a check to my parents' home. I must pay for the course by May 25th. Any amount of money that you can donate for this cause will be greatly appreciated! Thank you for your generosity!
