Hello Everyone,
My name is Leroy Verdin , independent student, aspiring actor, and future filmmaker. Regardless of all the risk, acting is my dream and I will continue to pursue a career in the film industry to become a professional working actor. However, along my journey, I decided to further my educaton by achieving a degree at Full Sail University. It has been an experience and I managed to get through my program to earn my Bachelor of Science degree in computer animation.
Nevertheless, passing all your classes alone does not secure your diploma; which is why I am reaching out to you all.
Campaign
I am raising money for unpaid tuition fees to recieve my diploma and to get a new mac so I can work. I am asking not to take your last dollar, but at least for $1 dollar. If everyone donates that sees this post; I may be able to reach my campaign goal.
I am one to work and give my all for everything I do, but for the last few months I wanted to focus on finishing up my classes so I may graduate. Now that I am done, and was scheduled to exit my program on June 5, 2015 (my graduation day), I received an email stating that I can not reach graduate status and get my diploma until my past due balance of $3704 is paid in full.
These fees were added to my overall tuition as a result from classes I had to retake because of software issues. In addition, my motherboard/logic board burnt causing my computer to crash right after my warranty was expired. Thanks to family and friends, I was able to get my work done, but I am still without a computer that can run my programs. An updated version of my computer that can run my editing, animation and compositing software is $2500.
I would be very appreciative and satisfied if I can raise $800 to purchase a new logic board to fix my old Mac.
I want to thank you all in advance for your donations; they are greatly appreciated. Any additional funding will go towards futhering my education to achieve my Masters in Film Production,
which I plan on doing so by this years end.
