Reunite Family

In January of 2019 Balee Bree contracted a rare autoimmune disease called Guillain Barre. This caused her to become temporarily paralyzed and nearly took her life multiple times. After months of being in a rehab hospital in Fort Smith, Arkansas, she was then discharged to a skilled nursing facility for nine months. During this time her husband was working sixty hours a week and what time he was off he was spending at the hospital with his wife. This became a problem because they had a two year old baby girl. Unable to provide  constant care at the time, Balee’s mother and now deceased father filed for guardianship of their daughter.

Not having much of a choice, the two agreed to the term with the understanding that the guardianship would be temporary. However as Balee recovered and her husband Phillip began to work less and be more available they were still not allowed to see their daughter on a regular basis or more than an hour or two at a time. Sometimes for only one day a week.

In February, Balee was released from the nursing facility to her mother's house to continue her physical therapy. She chose to move into her mother’s house because her mothers house was going to be easier to modify for her needs, and to be with their daughter. Phillip having to work, also was not going to be able to be around as much as Balee’s mother who is retired. The situation again was meant to be temporary.

However, now, even though Balee has regained  most of her strength, her mother has restricted Phillip from visiting his wife and daughter and wont even let them take the baby out for ice cream. She is not allowing Balee and Phillip to be parents again. Balee is  able to care for their daughter independently now with minimal assistance. Her mother has refused to give up the guardianship and makes it near impossible for their family to be together again.

We need your help to take the grandmother  to court and restore their rights as parents. We are asking for donations to lock in an attorney so that Balee, Phillip, and Ella have a chance to be a family once again.
