I’m adding this recent update from Mandy … you will see why the need is so great. Please pray and give what you can.
Thank you so very much for the love and support of this precious lady and her family.

Now...we wait.  by Mandy Edge.
radiation treatment is now complete! All signs point towards its effectiveness based on my mobility and pain level. I'm still working on being able to truly sit in a chair rather than a recliner, but I can walk and move my right left with minimal assistance!  Now we focus on trial qualifications. The week of 7/8, my mom and I will travel to Houston to go through a series of tests to find my newest "baseline" for them to measure trial effectiveness. Think labs, PET scans, EKGs, eye exams, brain MRI, etc. I anticipate being at MD Anderson for the better part of that week.  Jeff and I will travel back to Houston on 7/15 for my first day of treatment on the trial. I will travel weekly for the first month. Bi-weekly for the second month and once a month for each cycle following so long as the treatment is working.

 Prayer Requests:
* Minimal to no growth of my cancer during the weeks of no radiation in my spine and ribs (and anywhere else it might have spread since my last scan).
* Radiation to continue to be effective through the next few weeks at shrinking the targeted tumors in my hip. It is common for tumors to continue to shrink for up to a month after radiation.
* Effective pain management...aka insurance approving the dosage my doctor recommends and is effective.
* Continued decreasing in swelling in my right leg.
* Blood clots as a result of slow blood flow return to go away.
* Blood thinner meds to have no impact on my brain and for a clear brain MRI.
* To be able to sit and return to work for a few days before traveling for the trial begins.
* Financial provision as we travel often and I work fewer days.
* If you'd like to donate without going through a website, please reach out.

We will continue to update as the road pivots and as we have things to celebrate! We continue to ask for a great miracle that doctors cannot explain while preparing for the worst case scenarios.

Changes continue … Mandy begins radiation treatment tomorrow (Wednesday, 06.05.2024)

Please read the following for specific updates and needed prayers.

Prayer:
1) for wisdom and peace about what to do next. And as always, that God open doors for miracles that only He can.
2) a clear path forward.
3) the primary tumor in right abdomen is growing and quickly changing mobility.
4) pain management.
5) Paycom to approve work from home accommodation.
6) insurance approval before moving forward with the trial.
7) Justice to not live in fear.

Mandy and Jeff have been having some difficult talks and are sharing with Justice what his little heart can handle. Justice is taking it all in right now and is still praying with his big, bold, child-like faith. He is an inspiration! This family continues to walk in faith, believing our God for healing, provision, protection and miracles.

Thank you for caring. Thank you for giving. Thank you for loving them as they begin a new road on this journey.

Love to all. ♥️

Hello to my sweet family and friends. I’m once again asking and continuing to believe for a Miracle for Mandy!
Our precious girl is in the hospital again and is needing God’s healing hand. Please read Mandy’s recent post below. We know this is an unexpected bump in the road on the journey to health and healing.
Please if you can donate do so, along with this comes so many unexpected expenses as well.
Thank you for caring and for giving.
♥️Rita

From Mandy:
I've been hanging out with my friends at Mercy since Friday eve. Turns out God designed our bodies to use oxygen. When it doesn't get what it needs, it creates some issues. We were supposed to be at MD Anderson today to discuss the next phase of my treatment plan. Here's how you can pray: -O2 levels to stay steady without assistance -Swelling in my body to decrease -Wisdom and collaboration with my doctors -Healing of my cough -Answers on the next phase of treatment to kick my cancer in the rear-end God is never surprised and His plan is always good.

Hi, my name is Rita and I'm asking for a Miracle for Mandy. You will read in her story below her current medical condition. While we are very concerned with what's happening now, we also have faith in God's Plan for Mandy's life.
The expense of treatment, travel and housing for specialists, lost income (likely for both Mandy and Jeff), and everyday life, while they fight this unimaginable fight is extreme. Please consider making a donation to help ease this part of the journey. The last thing they need to worry about is money.
Please pray for Mandy, Jeff and Justice ... this precious young lady, her husband and little boy. I continue to trust you Lord, to bring health and healing, to provide for every need and to wrap them in your loving arms bringing light, peace, comfort and joy in the midst of what seems so dark right now. I also pray for Mandy's family as they are heartbroken over this news, for Mandy's friends that care so deeply for her. I pray for the medical team and anyone who would have any part of her recovery that all be done exactly as His Hand would direct. Thank you Lord for this MIRACLE.
I love you Mandy Michelle (McKeown) Edge!

From Mandy:
God - we cry out for your peace and hope in the midst of upsetting news. We plead for your rescue, your miracles, and your faithfulness to continue in our lives. For your glory, may others see your unfailing love through our actions during this season.

The doctor confirmed the cancer is back. I have a tumor in my right abdomen causing joint pain and discomfort along with a few spots in my shoulder and spine. While we wait for the opportunity to meet a doctor at MD Anderson who specializes in soft tissue sarcomas, my Oncologist here is moving forward with a treatment plan.

Starting Monday, I'll go through 4 days of treatment monitored 24/7 in the hospital. I will do this every 21 days for 2 or 3 cycles. We'll then do a PET scan to confirm it is shrinking the cancer. He's also ordered testing for specific markers that would allow me to take a pill long term and fight it.

We cry out to God for a miracle of no more cancer. For each person who interacts with us to feel the love and goodness of Jesus and for his name to be known. We pray for minimal side effects of chemo. We pray for many more years on earth. We pray for Justice to feel peace in the new season. We pray for hope & confidence for our future. May we continue to praise You in our valley.

I do not stand alone, but through the strength of all of you, we fight and have supernatural peace.

Through all my tears, God is good.

Then they cried to the Lord in their trouble, and he saved them from their distress. He sent out his word and healed them; he rescued them from the grave. Let them give thanks to the Lord for his unfailing love and his wonderful deeds for mankind.
