Help vulnerable children have a brighter Christmas

Lanzarote is renowned as a holiday Island where people visit to enjoy themselves and what the Island has to offer. It is very easy to forget that the local people also have everyday personal problems.

The reason Clive, a regular visitor to the Island & Huseyin, a long term resident have decided to run the Lanzarote Marathon together, is to raise awareness for the less fortunate & vulnerable children living here. Their mission is to help these children who due to specific circumstances & have no choice, are in situations of helplessness. They want to help give them a brighter Christmas.

Clive is a regular Marathon runner who has clocked up over 200 official Marathons, many of which, he has raised money for different charities. Huseyin has been an avid runner all his life but has taken a back seat in recent years due to work commitments.

Huseyin and his wife Emma own a bar in Puerto Del Carmen called Emma's Friends where their motto is "Caring is Sharing".

When Clive, their customer & long term friend recently mentioned he wanted to do the Lanzarote Marathon during his next visit, Huseyin decided it was a good enough cause to get the dust off his trainers and get running again!

Seeing that the Lanzarote Marathon is held on December 3rd, they thought it was only apt to raise money for Children at Christmas time.
