Medical Volunteer Outreach Trip

Hello, My name is LaTrice Montgomery. I am a sophomore Biology  major and Nanoscience minor at Hampton University. I am focusing on a career in the medical profession and have been awarded the opportunity to be a part of a Medical Mission that will allow me to gain exposure and experiences to a profession that is my passion.

 For the next three months, January through March, I will be raising funds for the Hampton University Medical Outreach Trip to Panama, May 7th through May 21st 2016.

During this mission trip, I, along with many other volunteers, will be working in mobile medical clinics, where we will have the opportunity to intake patients, conduct public health surveys, take vitals, shadow local physicians, work in the pharmacy, teach education classes, and much more.

The money I raise will go toward traveling expenses, lodging and meals which comes to a total of $2,500. In addition to the cost of going on this trip, any additional money that is raised will help fund the many projects and medical supplies that are needed.
