Volunteering trip to Ghana in 2020
Donation protected
In April 2020 Staffordshire Scouts are taking a group of Explorers to Ghana in West Africa to volunteer in local communities, teaching in schools and taking part in building projects.
Education in this part of the world is quite basic with large classes of mixed age and ability children, often learning by rote.
Following a selection weekend, Stephanie has been invited to join the group for this exciting adventure!
They will be engaged in meaningful volunteer work in developing areas with the aim of improving the lives of the local children, many of whom come from communities where subsistence farming is the norm.
In the next two years she has to raise £2,400 to fund her trip and would like to invite you to help her along the way. She is very motivated and has a variety of fundraising ideas and plans which she will be sharing with you as she starts on this exciting journey...
