Jonathan (“Jonny”) Grant was a passenger in a horrific car accident on March 17, 2017, in Raleigh, North Carolina. Jonny suffered a severe brain injury called diffuse axonal injury (DAI) forcing him into a coma. Each day brings excitement with every eye flutter, flinch of the shoulder, and pushing back when his wife Laura asks him to resist her physical therapy movements.

Petty Officer Grant earned his Navy SEAL trident in 2007 and served his country on three oversea deployments. At the time of the accident Jon was serving as a combat medic instructor at Fort Bragg.

Jon and his wife Laura need your financial support as Jon will once again need to employ the willpower and determination he used to earn his trident and serve his country. “The only easy day was yesterday” is the Navy SEAL motto and will be Jon’s as he works each and every day to gain back his strength and ability to perform the everyday tasks we all take for GRANTed.
