Help VJ Brendan BEAT Cancer!!!!

As many of you know, our dear friend VJ Brendan Thompson who has been entertaining us at the Bourbon Pub for over 24 years has recently had a cancer diagnosis that has rocked his world. While his outlook is optimistic, the reality of the diagnosis is having immediate impacts on his finances. To try and help him with ongoing medical costs and required time away from work as he starts his immunotherapy treatments, a group of us have pulled together an assessment of his likely annual out of pocket medical expenses for this year, along with an estimate of his living expenses for approximately 6 months (which assumes he will either be able to work half time this year or will require as much as 6 months away from work). Anything we can contribute to help him through this period is greatly appreciated. Below is the note about his illness.

From VJ Brendan: After several MRI’s, cat scans and biopsies and countless doctor and hospital visits, I have been diagnosed with a rare type of Stage IV cancer called Partoid Glad (Left) Metastatic Melanoma and I am about to start getting Immunotherapy (drug cocktail) administered every three weeks because the tumor is too large and too close to my brain to surgically remove. This type of tumor is extremely rare and I am still processing what this all means for me, so please give me some time. Thanks for reading and I love you all!
