meet our friend vivian. she is sweet, caring, and one of the most positive people you'll ever meet. she is a full-time mom to two little ones, rowen (4) and madeleine (2), and they are her whole world!
last year, vivian started to feel nauseous and some pain in her stomach. she vomited much of what she ate and rapidly began to lose weight. for months, doctors treated her for stomach ulcers. when the medications failed to relieve her symptoms, further tests were conducted. that's when she and her family were hit with the devastating news...vivian has stage 4 gastric cancer.
this news has been especially hard on her family, and they are doing whatever it takes to be there for vivian. her husband, howard, who is often working on projects out-of-town, has left his job to be by vivian's side during this diffcult time. her parents have devoted themselves to caring for their daughter and her children.
the prognosis is poor, but vivian is extremely strong and is ready to battle.
she began her chemotherapy treatments about a month ago, and she is a trooper! despite how terrible she has been feeling, she has slowly been gaining weight and strength. she really is a fighter!
there aren't many options for treatment when it comes to advanced gastric cancer. she is trying natural medical treatments and may consider further treatment in korea, as they have the most advanced treatments for stomach cancer in the world. these costs are over and above the day-to-day expenses that her family is already faced with. and, the reality is, that without financial support, these options are out-of-reach.
so, we are asking for your help.
