Rome Mission 2015

For my last summer of college, I have accepted an internship opportunity with a ministry that is very dear to my heart, Door#2 Visual Arts Ministry at my church, Christ Community Chapel, in Hudson, Ohio. When I was in high school, Door#2  and the people who loved on me there was an integral part in my becoming a Christian and deciding to go to Cedarville University. I could never give back enough to repay my appreciation for how this ministry has influenced me. That being said, I am ecstatic to be an intern with Door#2, where I will be working every day this summer, ministering to high school students through the creative arts.


One huge opportunity that goes hand in hand with my internship is the ongoing ministry that Door#2 has in Rome. The mission in Rome has expanded greatly in the past few years. There are currently several trips to Rome throughout the spring and summer. As the intern, I was asked to be a part of one of these mission trips as a leader. I will be teaching art classes and reconnecting with friends I made in earlier trips.


The trip is ten days long from June 12-21, 2015, and we will be working with our church partner, Rome Baptist Church. During our stay, we will be hosting an art and music camp, where students can be creative, and we can love on them. We will also participate in live art and music on the city squares.

I am very excited to be able to go on this trip, but I cannot do it without the support of the community back home. I would love it if you would pray for me and the rest of our team. Please pray for safe travel and heath for our team, and that we would come back with a greater love for the Roman people. For me personally, please pray that I would be an effective, humble servant. With your prayers, I know God will not only use me, but will bless the entire mission.


As part of our challenge for this trip, each team member has been asked to raise $2150 to cover food, lodging and transportation for this trip. Supporting me financially would be an incredible gift to not only me, but to the people who will meet us in Rome. I am trusting in the Lord to lead twenty-one people to contribute a gift of $100.
