Viewer Discretion Legislation Coalition

The VIEWER DISCRETION LEGISLATION COALITION is a group of volunteers I stand behind 100%. Their goal is regulate how graphic images can be put in mailboxes, and hopefully in the future, it will help define what can and cannot be put on billboards and advertising on the streets.

Many people would label the VDLC as pro-choice, fighting against pro-lifers in the debate of abortion. This is not the case. There are people from both sides of the debate who support this cause. In fact there are many pro-life advocates that are embarrassed by the material distributed by the Canadian Centre for Bio-Ethical Reform (CCBR).

The VIEWER DISCRETION LEGISLATION COALITION is standing up for our rights as individuals to not have shock advertising forced on us. The CCBR claim it's all about freedom of speech but they don't seem to care who they are impacting and traumatizing by putting grotesque pictures out into the public. Children along with people who have lost babies are seeing these pictures which result in significant trauma. The CCBR does not ask permission to share what they believe are facts but rather infringe upon our rights as individuals and parents to decide what we and our children are exposed to without our consent.

The VDLC spends a considerable amount of time and their own money trying to save people from unsolicited exposure. They are not trying to block views or beliefs but rather the way the message is distributed.

This Go Fund Me campaign is to help the VDLC in the fight and to show our support for what they are doing for everyone ... fighting for our rights which the CCBR is infringing upon.

All contributions will go directly to the VDLC.  They are not government funded, all efforts are voluntary, and all expenses are out of the volunteers' pockets and from contributions.

The Viewer Discretion Legislation Coalition is a London, Ontario based organization that started when anti-abortion activists permeated our city with graphic pamphlets and road signs. These images are disturbing and extremely traumatizing to the community. We want to change Canadian law to prohibit the use of such graphic images in public spaces.
