VICTOR´S International Child Abduction - HELP ME, PLEASE!

Dear Readers and Friends,

I am V´ Father, married for 10 years to L. We lived in Nicaragua. My wife took our son, V.E., 8 years old, to USA, to spend Christmas 2023 with her family. From there, she unilaterally decided to stay in the USA. And the way I learned it was devastating.

I took my wife and son V.E. for their vacation to the airport on December 17, 2023. They had a return ticket for December 28th. I never imagined that a few days later I would have to live a horrific reality: my wife had no intention of returning home.

That same December 17th, I left separately on a business trip and returned on December 21st, coincidentally our Tenth Wedding Anniversary. I started the day by sending her poems and photos, to which she responded lovingly... everything seemed fine.

However, immediately upon returning to our house on the 21st, I noticed that some of my wife's personal items as well as my son's best-loved toys were missing, including birthday presents he had received just two weeks before. I called my wife, worried and scared. After multiple attempts, she finally answered and assured me that everything was normal and that the "lost" items must be somewhere in the house.

Unfortunately, it was a lie. She had already taken legal action against me: The following morning, December 23rd, I received an email ordering me to appear in TX for a court hearing early January 2024. She filed in a court on December 22 at noon. It looks like she coldly planned her actions, in advance.

The last years and months of our family life were characterized by a stable, happy life, full of plans for a common future, especially for 2024.

My little son V.E. is a charming, vivacious, intelligent, empathetic, playful child. He is passionate about building, loves his LEGO bricks, plays chess and soccer and of being a paleontologist who discover dinosaurs.

I always strived to be very present in his life. We had a very close relationship. I shared as many activities with him. Above all, I tried my best to encourage his growth and development.

I have given him ethical and moral principles such as generosity to the less fortunate, empathy and respect for people and nature and that honesty, hard work and perseverance are essential in life.

I can imagine his confusion and his pain at being torn from his family. His environment, his school, his friends, his toys, his beloved cat, "Botitas", his fish pond, his Apoyo lagoon where he learned to swim, his father, his grandmother (Mutti), the loving care from his Nana.

This situation is causing me deep pain and forcing me to abandon practically all work activity to dedicate myself to building an international parental abduction case.

The case is complicated. Although Nicaragua is signatory to the Hague Convention on International Child Abduction, it is not yet a recognized partner of the USA. Therefore, the remedies available under the treaty do not apply to my case.

Victor was substracted from his usual place of residence, violating both his child rights as well as my parental rights.

I do not have the financial capacity to pay a lot of the legal fees of these lawsuits. To cover these expenses, I have no choice but to open this fundraising campaign.

From the bottom of my heart I hope you are willing to support me recover my son. I estimate that I will have costs of approximately 100 thousand dollars. I’m using my life savings already.

Please help me recover my son with your contribution to this fund. Whatever you can donate will be greatly appreciated. Everything helps.

If the amount raised is greater than the amount required to cover the expenses of my case, I pledge to donate the remaining sum to support parents who have suffered international abductions and who do not have the resources for the legal process.

I have confidence in justice and humanity. No one should have to live through this nightmare.
