Victoria “Crickets” transplant
Donation protected
Victoria Salazar is a brave 14yr old girl that has been battling liver disease for the last 5 years with the biggest smile on her face, at the very young age of 9 she was diagnosed with Autoimmune Hepatitis and Splenomegaly . A very rare condition when liver inflammation occurs and your body’s immune system turns against your liver cells causing severe damage to the liver, so with that it has caused her to have Cirrhosis of the Liver. Her sickness has caused her to have multiple hospital stays with one hospital stay fighting sepsis along with other effects such as banding of her Esophagel Varices every 3months, which is when circulation through her liver(blood) is blocked and her blood backs up into other blood vessels mainly in her stomach and esophagus, which is to thin to carry. and because they’re filled with more blood then they’re meant to carry their likely to burst causing eternal bleeding with no stoping also extension of her belly from Fluid which make it hard for normal breathing, bruising on over 1/2 her body from low platelets, jaundice on both her skin and eyes & a enlarged spleen , fatigue, as well as very strict diet restrictions along with mobility. She goes threw all this with out being able to express how she feels or what she feels because shes also a non verbal child with autism. It has also required us to spend alot of time in Denver with unexpected hospitalizations as well and to take her to specialist, she has recently been blessed with a transplant donor and has an upcoming surgery.... Her father and I will be out of work for approximately 6weeks to be with her while she recovers in Denver at the Children's Hosp & another 6-8 months of weekly doctor visits. We will be needing to accommodate a family of 7 . Anything you can donate to help us be able to spend as much time with our daughter during recovery and any unexpected needs would be greatly appreciated. If you can not donate we ask for prayers for a speedy recovery and for strength for our family. Her surgery is schedule for September 11, 2018. Thank you in advance and God Bless
