Love and Support to the Moon Family

“I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me,” Philippians 4:13. This is a verse that Colin, Emily and Zoey can cling to during this new chapter of their lives. 

On Saturday, November 6, Emily received a text from Colin….help. Colin hadn’t been feeling well,  but didn’t really think too much of it so took a nap. After waking up, something wasn’t right so he messaged Emily the words “help” and “I can’t”. Little did Colin know he was having a stroke.  Emily immediately called for an ambulance.  Colin was then taken by flight for life to St. Luke’s in Milwaukee where neurology specialists were awaiting him.  The doctors discovered he had a clot in an artery in the left side of his brain and removed it. Since then Colin has made progress each and everyday through hard work, determination and lots of prayers. The doctors say they are amazed at the improvements, and believe it’s Colin’s young age that has been helpful, but I say it’s God! 

These days, weeks months ahead are going to be full of certain challenges for Colin, Emily and Zoey. One day at a time is going to be a phrase that will need to be repeated often. To help ease the financial challenges ahead, a Go Fund Me page is being started for their family. Not only was flight for life used to transfer Colin to St. Luke’s in Milwaukee, but He is going to need various therapies to continue to grow stronger each and everyday.  By starting this fundraiser, we are hoping to lessen the focus on the financial challenges ahead and allow them to focus on getting strength back.
