Supporting Brent’s Road to Recovery
Hi everyone, my name is Tony (Brent Rogerson’s Uncle) and I have created this Gofundme Page on behalf of Brent, his wife Jade and their three sons Xavier (8 yrs), Ashton (4 yrs) and Baby Braxton (2 weeks).
Brent is an easy going, fun loving family man who loved his job driving for Suez on various residential waste & recycling contracts which he has been doing for the last eight years.
Brent was on Carers Leave assisting his wife Jade at home with the arrival of their third child young Braxton.
Early am - Wednesday 12th May, Brent felt unwell and later that morning went to his local GP for a check-up.
He was quickly admitted to Hawkesbury hospital we he was re-assessed as Brent’s pain began to escalate and within hours transferred to Nepean Hospital.
Brent’s condition continued to escalate with the pain intensifying and inflammation in his pancreas being identified as the problem. Brent was placed on a dialysis machine to cleanse and recirculate his own blood.
Thursday afternoon Brent’s condition was extremely critical with signs his organs were beginning to shut down, he was placed in an induced coma to calm his body.
Saturday 15th May, Brent was transferred to RPA Intensive Care Unit where he remains in an induced coma on life support operating every organ in his body. The hospital have confirmed Brent has contracted Golden Staph in his lungs as well.
Brent’s current condition is stable but critical. We have been told his situation could change day to day - hour to hour. Brent is expected to be in an induced coma anywhere between 2 weeks and 2 months.
Jade has received much support from family in particular with looking after the two older boys while Jade has relocated to a hotel with baby Braxton nearby the RPA hospital.
Brent’s recovery will be very slow and a return to work is unpredictable at this stage.
The financial stress on Jade is kicking in already with accommodation costs whilst Brent remains in a critical condition.
In the coming months the financial pressure for Brent and Jade is expected to increase rapidly.
The above just highlights how quickly our lives can be turned upside down. The emotional stress will always be there but if you can assist in helping this young family by donating on this Gofundme Page as Brent recovers from this wretched illness - your donation will definitely help ease the financial burden.
On behalf of Brent, Jade and their three young boys....thank you.
