Ro (or Bean as she's affectionately called) is a sister of the AOII Delta Kappa chapter at Washington University in St. Louis who needs our help!
At the beginning of December, after facing multiple personal tragedies, she received the diagnosis of a rare brain growth on top various other health-related challenges. With the support of those closest to her, she made the decision to take a medical leave of absence in the hopes of making a full recover while away from her studies. Ro has been working tirelessly to that end, but medical bills are expensive and lady luck hasn't been too kind to her either.
Additionally, her living situation has been jeopardized due to complications with misdirection of her payments to her leasing office that are of no fault of her own.
Unfortunately, despite working 3 jobs to support herself, she has hit a speed bump and as her sisters, we are dedicated to doing everything we can to help her get back on her feet!
Here are a few goals to help a sister out!
- Pay $2,600 to catch up on rent
- Pay $500 for gas bill
- Pay for her adorable puppy's health insurance, $100/month, as well as for his cancer drugs (they're in this together!), totalling $200
Next steps:
- Find a roommate to move in to the newly-available bedroom in her apartment to help cover living costs OR (an even bigger dream) raise enough money to pay rent through her lease term so she can heal and recover in her own space.
- Acquire a reliable mode of transportation... (a St Louis metro pass, Uber or Lyft gift cards, a hand-me-down car to borrow for appointments , etc)
Ro is also rehabilitating 2 rescue dogs who give her much joy and also require LOTS of walkies to stay entertained and exercised. Gift cards for such services, dog toys, treats, and puzzles would all be infinitely helpful!
