San Francisco 49'ers fans have Faithfully supported the organization from the depths of the NFL basement to Colin Kaepernick's incomplete pass to Michael Crabtree in the endzone in the 4th quarter of Super Bowl 47. This passionate fan base deserves an owner and general manager that reflect their love for the team and desire to see them succeed. Ownership's inability to put ego to the side led to the departure of the second most successful head coach in franchise history and ultimately the collapse of one of the most feared teams in the NFL. On December 29, 2014 Jed York said “I’ll be the first to tell you, if we aren’t winning a Super Bowl, you should hold me accountable. You should jump down my throat." That time has come. It is time for Mr. York to sell the team and take Trent Baalke with him.
What we want to do: Apply pressure to Jed York on a national scale by flying an aerial banner (pulled by an airplane) over Levi's Stadium before the November 29th matchup against the Arizona Cardinals. The banner will read something like this-
[“Hold me accountable” #YorkAndBaalkeMustGo]
The message on the banner is up for debate. Leave your ideas in the comments section and we can vote on which message is the best. Remeber: 40 character max, spaces not included. Hashtags encouraged.
Due to no fly regulations the plane must leave the area an hour before the game but it will certainly catch the attention of the media during the pregame/tailgate. (We will notify local stations ahead of time so they can cover the story.)
Cost: $549 for 6-8 laps around the stadium.
Deadline: Ideally we would like to have the contract for the plane signed by Thursday November 19th.
Lets make it impossible for Jed York and Trent Baalke to ignore the Niner Faithful. This storied organization is about much more than the egos of two selfish men.
