Water Well in Gaza
Assalamu alaykum wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuhu,
One of the harsh realities of war is the lack of most basic human needs. Not education, healthcare or even shelter, but something even more basic yet most fundamental, water and food.
In the face of Israel's brutal aggression and genocide against Gaza since 11 months and ongoing, Gazans have been deprived of not only all the basic human rights, but also the basic human needs. Water and food have become so limited and hard to reach.
We have successfully organized a project for a water well in Gaza in an area populated by hundreds of displaced people who are living in tents and have very hard access to water.
Now we are starting a second project in an area likewise filled with displaced people, and in this specific area they have no access to water at all. So with your help, we can provide them with a water well, so at least one of their sufferings is relieved.
For this project will rent a small piece of land, and dig a water well in it. Additionally we need solar panels to power the water well, as you all know, there is no electricity in Gaza since the beginning of the war.
Here is the breakdown of the costs for the project:
•Costs of renting the land: Around $400 a month. We aim to cover the rental cost of the first 6 months in the first stage, which makes about $2,400 in total.
•Costs to dig the well: $5,000
•A water pump: $1,500
•Solar electricity system (5Kw): $25,000
•Other operational costs (such as providing tents for the people digging the well, transaction fees etc.)
We are setting the goal a bit higher than our calculations, in case the prices increase in the meantime, or anything hoes wrong, so we don't run low on money.
Any money left after the project is completed (if any) will go to families in Gaza who are in need.
And the solar panel system will be given as a gift to a mosque or school after the war, since the land is not ours and the project is aimed for displaced people.
We kindly ask you to support our project either by donating, or sharing it with your friends, family and social networks to make the project reach more people. Every dollar counts and every person you share the project with also counts.
Thanks to everyone in advance.
Peace and blessings be upon you all.
