Hi Everyone,

 

My name is Simone and I am raising funds for my friend, Lara, who has lived in Ireland for close to 12 years. She is a story of strength and virtue and has come a long way in her journey of independence and betterment. Lara graduated at 31 with an Honours in Applied Social Care Work. Since then, her life, like most during the last couple of years, has been turbulent. She has recently had a journey that no human should endure. She went from a women's shelter to homelessness to living in emergency accommodation for 2 years. Most recently, she has managed to get herself back on her feet and secure a place on the Masters in Positive Psychology programme at UCC. Her struggle comes with her tuition and emigration status. As an Aussie, with rights to live in Ireland, she is struggling to secure her naturalisation so that she can get educational support. With this Degree, Lara hopes to advocate for women and children who are vulnerable. She has taken great strides to begin this campaign however, with Covid, things haven't moved as quickly as she needs.

 

Based on this, I am asking for 1000 kind-hearted people to contribute 10 Euro so that we can make Lara's dream come true. Lara intends to stay in Ireland as her daughter is Irish.

 

If anyone needs proof of the fees, I am a co-student and am happy to share the costs to get any support.
