Welcome everyone! We're so excited that you're here to join us as we continue on our adoption journey!
First, let's start with a few basics: We're adopting internationally from Colombia, and are hoping for a sibling group (2) ages 1-4. We've completed our home study, dossier, and are fully registered with Colombia, so now we're just waiting for a referral! We're told that it could still be 12-18 months, but could also be sooner. Once we accept a referral we'll have 8-12 weeks before we travel to meet our kids. We'll spend 3-5 weeks in Colombia with them before we bring them home.
The biggest question we're getting right now is "how can we help?" and we want to let you know about two ways that you can support us currently:
First and foremost, pray for us and our future children. Cover us in your prayers, good wishes, kind thoughts, and encouragements. We want a village of people to support us as we become a family. Specifically, pray that we receive a referral for siblings!
Second, if you feel led to support us financially, we set up a GoFundMe to help with some of the major expenses. Please don't feel obligated to contribute, as what we really need from our family, friends, and loved ones is prayer and support - especially when we return from Colombia with our full family intact!
We're so thankful to have such an amazing and supportive community around us, and we know that our future children will be so well loved by each of you.
