Vandals set ablaze Duncan Cran Playground

May 24, 2023. The Duncan Cran Administration sincerely thanks all the generous individuals involved in this campaign for their unwavering support. However, at this time, they have kindly requested a temporary pause in fundraising efforts. This pause will allow them to gather comprehensive information regarding the costs associated with the playground repair, ensuring that every donated dollar makes the greatest impact. Dear Friends, Neighbors, and Supporters,

I come to you today with a heavy heart and a plea for your support.

Just a short week ago the Peace River Regional District and our beloved community of Fort St. John faced the terrifying threat of wildfires, forcing some people to leave their homes and others to be on evacuation alert.

This morning we were greeted by a heart-wrenching sight—the Duncan Cran Playground had been intentionally set ablaze!

The damage caused by this act of vandalism is devastating, leaving our children without a safe place to play and our community without a vital hub for recreation and connection.

This is why we are reaching out to you today, seeking your generous contributions to help rebuild the Duncan Cran Playground. Our children deserve to have a safe and stimulating environment to grow, play, and create lasting memories.
