Hello Friends,
I am Valeska Shillingford-JnoBaptiste. I live in New york but I am originally from the beautiful Island of Dominica which was totally destroyed by Hurricane Maria. I am reaching out to all my colleagues and friends to help in this endeavor to help my Mother and Grandmother
Hurricane Irma Struck the island of Saint Martin on September 6 leaving my widowed Grandmother without a place to sleep. She lost her roof and everything inside. Just a few days later, on Monday September 18th the catastrophic category 5 Hurricane Maria hit my Island of Dominica leaving so many without a roof over their heads. Unfortunately, my Mom was one of statistic. She lost her roof, the door and the contents of her home.
My goal here is to help them rebuild the roofs and refurnish their homes. The money will be deposited into my bank account along with money I have also put aside to help them. The money will be used to purchase roofing supplies at Home Depot and appliances/ other home essentials from Walmart. These items will be shipped by boat in barrels/containers to Dominica.
I am humbled by the support I have received thus far and continue to ask for your encouragement and positivity through this difficult time. I will keep you updated with my ongoing efforts and progress.
