Every day I wake up and the pain is like a knife in my heart, twisting and turning over and over, as I remember my sweet Angel is no longer here. She has been gone for over 3 months now. Some days it seems much longer, but other times it feels like I just saw her in her room watching Grey's Anatomy and asking if I'd bring her a bowl of chocolate ice cream. 

We made it through the funeral, her first birthday in Heaven and our first Thanksgiving and Christmas without her. I never imagined how hard it would be living without her. They don't teach you how to survive the death of your child when you're taking all of the other parenting classes. But I'm making it, day by day, largely in part to my other beautiful gift from God, Angel's little sister. 

Now, comes one more hurdle ... the marker for her grave. Who would have thought that you'd need to rob a bank to pay for it. I've gotten prices from several different places and they all come to about the same cost. I could go cheap and just have something with her name and dates, but I really want to have something nice to mark her grave. This is what her little sister will see when she grows up and understands what happened. This is what will mark the place where my sweet Angel is buried. She deserves something amazing and unique, just like she was. The only problem is that to do something amazing and unique will cost a lot more than I have to spend.
