Masks for Health Professionals & First Responders

Hello Everyone,
During this pandemic, the topic of SARS-CoV-2 appears to be everywhere. It is rare to encounter positive and motivating topics that would indicate that this is all going to end soon, or that no one else will have to suffer. Having friends and family on the front lines battling to treat patients is even more difficult when you know the ins and outs of what is going on and how the media portrays things. I have been pondering about ways to help out while practicing social distancing, whether it is donating my portion of the stimulus check, buying food, or simply writing letters/cards of encouragement to our first responders.
Today, I learned that my family has the means of directly purchasing face masks from a Taiwanese organization, that is able to obtain them in bulk. As we all know, the demand for these masks is extremely high and the supply for them is very low, even for our health professionals and first responders. So, because of this, I felt the urge to contribute.
Many nurses, doctors, and other first responders are lacking the proper protection that they need to take care of patients. I want to be able to provide them with supplies that they need to continue at what they do best. My initial target goal is to raise $3,000, which supplies 4,000 masks, to donate to the local hospitals, fire stations, and/or police stations that need them most. In the future, we may be able to donate these masks to other cities in other states. Although these masks come in bulk, due to the high demand, they now cost roughly $0.75/ea with shipping included.
