Uvalde Plaza Fountain Renovation

As a member on the Main Street Advisory Board, I have taken on the exciting project of renovating the fountain downtown. This will be a community project with help from local organizations. The fountain is a cherished structure to the locals and we'd like to bring it back to life to beautify the plaza. In order to achieve this I will need as much help as possible.
On Saturday, August 19th, a group of volunteers including (RKW, City of Uvalde, Uvalde Chili Peppers, 10 NJROTC students, Kay Brieden, Chip King, Philip & Tina Lanier, and support of Uvalde Main Street Advisory Board) got the fountain 100% cleaned out. The next step is to pressure wash, repair and paint the fountain. After that we will be able to install a new working pump and fill it with water. In order to do this we will need to raise funds for materials. With the help of the community I know we can get this done. The sooner we raise the funds, the sooner we can get it done so we will need to raise this money in the next few weeks.
We WILL get this done with the help of the community and it will mean so much to future generations to enjoy. We can imagine picnics, pep-rallys and community events held on the plaza like the old days around this beautifully restored fountain. I would be extremly grateful for any support I can get and look forward to completing this project
