Family and Friends,
Many have reached out to me to ask how they can donate or help, so I will start this as a place to manage and filter any monetary contributions from those who wish to support.
Through the ashes (literally) of this sadness comes beauty in the form of love and kindness. The circle of friends and family that the Schaefers have surrounding us is ... extrodinary. Thank you all for your well-wishes and warm thoughts over the past few days.
The funds donated here will not necessarily go to the life-rebuilding of Bruce and Juliet Schaefer (though I will not rule that out) ... being old and paranoid and with an insurance agent son they are covered pretty well ... but will be applied to various people who experienced a total loss and are not able to rebound without help, and animal shelters that are working to house and heal wounded pets and wild animals.
When a contribution is made to any entity, it will be in the name of Bruce and Juliet Schaefer and their loving family and friends.
Any donation, big or small, will have a nice home helping out someone or some creature that has experienced harm through this firey event that will forver alter our little community of Sonoma County.
PS- they are trying to avoid fraud on this so request the following questions answered:
1. Who am I: Jill Bolger (nee Schaefer).
2. Where am I from: Santa Rosa.
3. Relationship to those in question: Daughter of Bruce and Juliet.
4. How the funds will be spent: Described above.
