US VIRGIN ISLANDS GENERATOR FUND
You can help improve the lives of those impacted by Irma and Maria. Due to the catastrophic devastation of Hurricane Irma and now Maria, the territory is going to be without electrical power for several months. The utility structure (known as WAPA) is a fragile system even without the effects of a hurricane. Imagine yourself without power for a few days, let alone months. Without power, cooking, bathing, flushing toilets & all your basic needs cannot be addressed.
Thus, the focus here is to restore power via generators. A generator with enough wattage to have water pumps working, refrigerators operating, and running water, & charge phones for communication. Generators will vary in size because needs vary. We are not trying to power a whole house, just enough for their basics necessities. I know from first-hand experience how valuable a generator is to help bring normalcy to your life. These funds are needed now to get the generators to families helping them bring order to their lives.
PLEASE HELP!!! These generators will go directly to the people that need it the most and have no other resources. The people who have lost everything. Government assistance is slow and often non-assistance. I believe that the VI government is doing the best that it can, but they need help. It is overwhelming. 100% of the funds collected will go towards purchase & shipping the generators only (gas, propane, or hybrid). We want to buy in bulk to get discounted price. No donation is too small nor too big. I am grateful for any support. They really need it!

FYI: A little about me: From 1996-2004, I was Chief of Federal Probation. I continue to have a residence in St. Thomas. One was completely crushed during Hurricane Irma. I continue to reside here for several months of the year. I am part of the community because I own property there.
The funds will be used to buy and ship portable generators only. Copies of purchase invoices will be displayed as an update. Funds will only be withdrawn when their are sufficient funds to purchase at least 3 generators or the smallest quantity to lessen shipping costs.
