Urgent Surgery Needed For My Son Noah

Anyone who has met my son Noah will tell you he is one of the most helpful, giving, friendly, and considerate people you could ever meet. He will do anything he can to help you, no matter if you are a close friend or a stranger. He started when he was preschool age when he gave away his collection of Duplo Lego blocks to a boy that had none. He played minor hockey and wanted to give back, so trained to officiate. He stops to push a vehicle stuck in the snow or gives up his weekend to help a coworker with their renovations. He splits and stacks cords of wood for a friend of a friend. He saves an abandoned dog and gives a home to one that wasn’t wanted anymore. His big smile, cheerful humor, and easy-going ways make him a welcome presence anywhere.

This past December Noah had a bad fall. In January, he was diagnosed at the hospital with back injuries, including a herniated disc at the base of the spine and compression of root nerves. The local medical community is overloaded; the earliest consideration for getting the surgery he urgently needs is 18 to 24 months. He is living with excruciating pain. He can only walk for a very short distance, and he can not sit for any amount of time. Sleep is rare and difficult. He takes medication in kind and quantity that is concerning, and this only makes the pain sufferable. He can’t work. He has missed out on schooling to get two of his electrical training blocks. He cannot participate in any of the sports that he loves. His home projects have all stopped. He can’t do what makes him happiest, helping out others when they need a hand. He sold his motorcycle and is selling his dirt bike to get money to make ends meet.

The fantastic news is there is an option. A minimally invasive treatment for Noah's spine injuries with a speedy recovery time is available in the USA. We have been in touch with a surgeon there, and he has reviewed Noah’s MRI written report and the CD with the MRI images. This doctor has told us that he can help Noah. That help is available now.
